NATHAN BEDFORD FORREST LOCK BLADE KNIFE This great collector's knife features a painting of famous Confederate cavalry leader, General Nathan Bedford Forrest, charging at the head of his men into battle, brandishing his awesome and well-blooded saber. There's a little story about Forrest and his saber...most officers during the War for Southern Independence did not sharpen the blades of their sabers, as it was considered "ungentlemanly." Nathan Bedford Forrest, never one to put much stock in such foolish airs, always kept his razor sharp. When one of his subordinates found him doing this and commented on it, his reply was short and to-the-point..."War means fighting, and fighting means killing." This high-quality knife has a blade of carbon steel, which will give years of use. The painting of Forrest appears on both the handle of the knife, and the display tin which comes with the knife. An excellent tribute to this fiery Southern leader. $7.00 EACH
