CAMP MEETINGS

The Colonel Sherod Hunter Camp 1525 meets monthly at various locations. 

Meetings are usually, but not always, held on the fourth Saturday of the month.

25 OCTOBER 2008:  Camp 1525 Family Picnic at Sweetwater Park, Peoria, Arizona.  Picnic will begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.  For more information, contact us. 

14-16 NOVEMBER 2008;  American Heritage Festival, Snepf Farms, Queen Creek, Arizona.  Camp 1525 plans to have a recruitment and fund-raising booth at the event.  Contact us for more information about Camp 1525's participation in the event.  For more information about the event itself, contact the event sponsors. 

6 DECEMBER 2008:  Jefferson Davis Memorial Service at the Jefferson Davis Highway Marker, U.S. Highway 60 and Peralta Road, east of Apache Junction. Ceremony begins at 12:00 p.m.   This is President Davis's Bicentennial Year, and we plan a special event to commemorate it.  Contact us for more information.  

17 JANUARY 2009: Lee and Jackson (Confederate Heroes) Day, Bill Johnson's Big Apple Restaurant, 16810 N 19th Avenue (at Bell Road), Phoenix, Arizona.   Celebration begins at 11:30 a.m.  Contact us for more information. 

14-15 MARCH 2009:  Civil War in the Southwest Weekend, Picacho Peak State Park, Picacho, Arizona. Camp 1525 will have a recruitment and fund-raising booth at the event.  For more information about Camp 1525's participation in the event, contact us.  For more information about the event itself, contact the Arizona State Parks Department. 

25 APRIL 2009:  Confederate Memorial Day, Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Arizona.  Ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m.  For more information contact us. 

25 APRIL 2009:  Confederate Memorial Day, Wesley Bolen Park, Phoenix, Arizona.  Hosted by the Arizona Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy.  Ceremony will be held at approximately 11:00 a.m.  For more information, contact the U.D.C. 

2 MAY 2009:  Confederate Memorial Day, Dragoon Springs, Arizona.  Hosted by the Arizona Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans.  For more information, contact the Arizona Division. 

JUNE 2009:  Annual Convention, Arizona Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans.  Event will be hosted by the Captain Hunter's Arizona Rangers Camp 1202, and will be held on an as yet undisclosed date, at an as yet undisclosed site in the Tucson area.  For more information, contact the Arizona Division.
