FALL FESTIVAL, 4 NOVEMBER 2000
HERITAGE SQUARE PARK, PHOENIX, ARIZONA
On November 4, 2000, the Colonel Sherod Hunter Camp 1525 took part in the annual Fall Festival held at Historic Heritage Square Park in Phoenix, Arizona. The Camp set up a recruitment and display table, distributing literature about the S.C.V., Arizona Confederate history, Black Confederates and Hispanics in Gray.

Manning the Camp's table were Camp Secretary Robert Perkins (at left in picture above) and Camp Commander Tom Tatum (at right). Also there in a support role, but not pictured, was Donna Waldo, fiancé of Camp Secretary Perkins.

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION, NOVEMBER 2000
PIONEER ARIZONA LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM, NEW RIVER, ARIZONA
Over the weekend of 11-12 November the Colonel Sherod Hunter Camp 1525 took part in the Veterans Day Celebration hosted by Pioneer Living History Museum, just north of Phoenix on Interstate Highway 17. Several members of the Camp took part in War Between the States battle reenactments held as part of the event, and the Camp held it's November meeting at the Museum's on-site restaurant, the "Whisky Road to Ruin Saloon."

LEE AND JACKSON DAY CELEBRATION, JANUARY 2001
BEEF EATER'S RESTAURANT, PHOENIX, ARIZONA
On Saturday, 20 January 2001, the Colonel Sherod Hunter Camp 1525 held its annual birthday celebration in honour of the Confederacy's two greatest heroes, General Robert E. Lee and Lt. General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson. At the Arizona Division Convention held last year, Camp 1525's celebration was designated the permanent official Lee and Jackson Day celebration of the Arizona Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and this was the first year in which the celebration was held under the auspices of the Division. In addition, this was the second year in which it was jointly held with the Arizona Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy. A large crowd of nearly 40 attended the celebration. Members of all Arizona U.D.C. Chapters, four of the five Arizona S.C.V. Camps, as well as the Sons of Union Veterans and Arizona Civil War Council, turned out for the event.
